What MBM athletes say...

Darren - IronMan Wales 2019

“I had a dream of becoming an Ironman.  Was it possible?  I didn’t know for sure, all I did know is that I’d chosen IM Wales, one of the toughest in the world to find out!  I was terrified, excited and totally under prepared.  I needed help and luckily for me, Ali answered the call.

Ali devised a personal plan over a span of 9 months which included various other events I had already entered.  The plan juggled family life and commitments and kept a perfect balance.

Her unwavering enthusiasm and positivity helped me achieve various goals along the way, such as my first sub 4 hour marathon, which until now had taken me 13 years to achieve.  Ali was always on the end of a phone when I needed her, whether it be a potential injury niggle or a nutrition dilemma, Ali always knew the answer.

IM Wales was now on the horizon and the thought of the sea swim terrified me.  Ali arranged for a specially coached sea swim and even accompanied me.  Sea swim smashed!  Next stop: Wales.

My original goal was simply to compete IM Wales but through Ali’s coaching I can genuinely say I felt like I was able to compete.

Ali’s experience and one stop shop meant that I only needed one coach throughout and made what started as a worrying and daunting road ahead into one of the greatest journeys of my life and for that I can never thank her enough.”
